The graphs show data from WBS, regarding the flare on October 27, 1991. The first displays count rate time profiles from HXS and GRS. The graph displays count rates in four channels:
(a) HXS-PC1 & PC2 = 20 - 657 keV; (b) GRS-PC21 = 0.30 - 1.23 MeV; (c) GRS-PC22 = 1.23 - 4.54 Mev; (d) GRS-PC23 = 4.54 - 6.82 MeV.
The second graph displays the GRS spectrum that was observed during the maximum phase of that flare. Three panels are shown:
(a) The observed count spectrum (cross marks) and the convolved best fit spectrum (histogram). (b) Residuals in units of standard deviation (difference between observed count spectrum and convolved spectrum). (c) The best fit model spectrum.
The observed count spectrum consists of three components of electron bremsstrahlung continuum, narrow gamma-ray lines (several de-excitation lines and the neutron-capture line at 2.223 MeV) and broad gamma-ray lines.
Thanks to K. Suga and H. Hudson for providing these graphs and explanation.
