STT Timer Set STT timer was set at Pass3, May 18. The next update should be done on Tuesday, May 25. 4. S/C Offset Pointing The s/c was pointed 2arcmin to the south at Pass1, May 22, so that the sun moves to the north on the SXT CCD detector for the light leak test. It was back to the normal position at Pass2 of the same day. 5. Errors and Troubles At Pass1 and Pass2 of May 17, and at Pass1 of May 21, MS in KSC did not properly upload the commands to the s/c. Although the NEC operator tried the reset procedure a couple of times during these contacts, he did not succeeded. Curiously at Pass3, May 17 and Pass2, May 21 it started up correctly. They are now investigating the cause of this trouble, the report of which has not come out yet. The SSOC tohban confirmed that MS uploaded the commands correctly and the s/c answered back properly all the time, but a certain condition in MS did not enable to compare the data from the s/c and its image data. ****************************************************************************** From: kellerw@jplpost.Jpl.Nasa.Gov (Wendell L Keller) Subject: Yohkoh Data Outages Status: R We have had problems with YOHKOH acquisition due to time offsets in our pointing predicts.
