SSOC Tohban Report for Week 30 (26 JUL - 1 AUG , 1993) H.YATAGAI & M.TAKAHASHI 2 AUG, 1993 0.General: Two typhoon struck KSC in this week. The first one made Hayashi-kun (one of this week's KSC tohbans) be late to arrive at KSC and the second one made us postpone the offset pointing for a day. The weather condition at Norikura also seemed unpreferable, so we couldn't make co-observation with Norikura. 1.Solar Activity: Solar activity was generally low through this week. There are no major flares except two C-class, C5.9 on 27 Jul and C1.2 on 31 Jul. 2.SSOC Operations: 2-1. The table was uploaded in the Pass1 on 31. 2-2. STT Timer Set: STT Timer was set in the pass2, Tuesday. The next setting should be done on 3, August. 3.Errors and Problems: SXT Bit Map Error 930726-0413 (Recovered in the same pass with Yobi-C) BCS SEU Error 930726-0723 (Recovered in the next pass) isass0 problem: isass0 WS had something wrong on Friday(29,Jul). The problem was fixed in the day by Slater-san, but we couldn't access to RASM until then as the 'krasm' script were not available. 4. Special Operation and Calibration 4-1 BCS Calibration BCS calibration was done on Tuesday, 28. This was originally scheduled in the last week. 4-2. Spacecraft Offpoints 930729-0412 18'E -0516 18'W -0619 Normal Pointing These offpointings were originally planned on 29 Jul, but postponed for a day due to the second typhoon. 4-3 Co-observation with Norikura It has been cloudy at Norikura throughout this week and today is the last day of this co-observation campaingn ( we don't know whether it is now clear or not). 5. DSN data All the data downlinked DSN stations until the last Monday were transmitted. 6.Hikitsugi 6-1 Retransmission Request to DSN Joe Espinueva sent us an e-mail and said as follows: > For future retransmission requests, please send it to me (Joe Espinueva) > at fax# (818) 584-4561.
