The flare with CME occurred on the day after the offpoint but was observed on several KSC orbits. b) Acton's special flare table for measuring the SXT mirror scattering during a flare was successfully run and observed at least 2 flares. 4. Offset pointing The 8' east/west offset pointing was done from pass 1 to 4 on Jan 27. Errors and problems SXT errors Tues. Pass 1 Bit map error BCS errors Wed. Pass 4 Pass 5 Error 5 Thu. Pass 1 Pass 2 recovered DSN interaction ISAS gateway went offline on Jan 29 and Jan 30. Sunday is a KSC day off. Please be careful to keep extra passes on the Strawman DSN schedule. Our first OP for Saturday-Monday had 23 hours of Quiet Medium operation because we had only 2 DSN passes on the KSC day off. We requested and received 3 DSN passes that had been deleted from the Strawman. These added 8 hours of High data rate. This problem can happen when DSN cancels passes that we requested. The passes we deleted may still be available. 6. Hikitsugi FACOM password must be changed on Feb 1. The launch of the H-2 rocket will occupy tracking facilities this week. To provide tracking of Yohkoh, they will work on Sunday. The weekend OP should include passes 940206-07xx and 940206-08xx at High rate for this tracking. The next tohbans in week 05 are * SSOC Ishido, Sterling * KSC Kozuka, Shimizu
