SSOC Tohban Report for Week 11

1. Solar Activity

  The solar activity was low this week, with only a few small B class 
flares during the week.
 

2. Standard Operations

2.1 SXT table uploads

2.2 STT timer set

  Done on Mar.14  in pass 3 940314-1237. Should be reset on Tuesday.

3. Special Operations 

3.1 Calibrations

  HXT and BCS calibrations were carried out successfully this week;

BCS Cal Stim cal 940315.1134
BCS source cal between passes 4 and 5 .
HXT calibration done on passes 940319-0929, 940319-1030, 940319-1133.

3.3 Quiet Med Mode during SAA

  Following last week`s SSOC tohbans we continued to put OG "QUIET RATE
MED" at entry to SAA and OG "QUIET RATE HI" at exit to SAA in the OPs uploaded 
on Mar.14 and Mar.15(UT). On Mar 16, with Acton san's suggestion we changed this
to QUIET RATE MED 7 minutes after HV reduction on, and QUIET RATE HI to 7 minutes
before HV reduction off, to ensure maximum data collection.

4. Errors and problems

4.1 BCS error

BCS error occurred at 940313-1447 and was recovered successfully in pass 2 
940314-1134.

4.2 SXT error  

BITMAP error occurred at 940314-1444 (pass5) and was recovered by the Yobi-C
command.

4.3 Network Problems

  There has been problems with connections to the outside world from ISAS from
Sunday 20th March to Tuesday 22nd March. It seems to be in working order now.
This meant that the tohban report was delayed as e-mail could not be sent.

5. DSN Communications

5.1 Cancellations

 On 20 March between 12:10 and 12:20 DSS had a major power failure and was unable to
support orbit # 4407.
