There had been several ARs on the dark disk, but most of them were tiny and calm. From the end of the week, AR7719 has begun to flicker. The largest activity last week was B2 flare which occurred in the S/C night on May 7. 2 STANDARD OPERATIONS 2.1 SXT table uploads There were some test operations done for the partial eclipse observation, which we have on May 10. Next STT Timer should be set by 10 May. 2.3 QUIET RATE MEDIUM in SAA. QUIET RATE MEDIUM/HIGH cmmands were manually inserted to OP according to the rule, which Tsuneta san mentioned last week. 3 SPECIAL OPERATIONS 3.1 Test of Eclipse Observation by SXT The rehearsal of the comming anular eclipse on 10 May, was carried out from 4 to 8 May. Spetial tables were uploaded, and several commands were added to OPs, in these days. 3.2 BCS Set Up for the Eclipse This plan was executed in the form of BCS recovery with modified ROGs. Prior to uploading ROGs, OG no.102 and 103 were newly created by Bentley san, and were uploaded at the 1st KSC contact on 6 May. Date(UT) Pass Operation -------- ---- --------- May 6 940506-0929 OG upload 940506-1195 BCS recovery with mod.ROGs + BCS BC commands 4 ERRORS AND PROBLEMS 4.1 Delay of New Orbital Elements The arrival of the new orbital elements was delayed to Friday, because of the successive national holidays in Japan. We hence had not been able to decide the operation schedele for week 19. To do it AFAP, KSC toban offered to decide the schedule directly consulting with ACSA KSC toubans, and thereby we were able to deliver the "marked" Visible Weekly Diagram by Friday atternoon. 4.2 Memory Check Error during BCS Recovery The first BCS recovery plan scheduled on 940506-1032 pass was stopped due to the error at the stage of memory check. According to Bentley san's analisis, the cause of the error was retrial of the memory check, which was done by KSC toban surprised at the going down of DP mode to NL. 4.3 KSC 20m Antenna Recovered KSC tobans reported that the bad condition of 20m antenna last week had occurred due to wrong adjustment in receiving set (or someting). They had been trying to change system in order to save the number of staffs. Scince they successfully finished the change, there is no problem in tracking our satellite, now. 4.4 SXT bit map error SXT bit map error occured during pass1 on 9 may (PASS ID:940508-0930 ) Error was recovered during the pass. 5 DSN Communications 5.1 DSN Pass Deletions Two passes of DOY 126 were deleted on the day, because of GOES-I launch support. They canceled three contacts on the preliminary schedule. We hope that the agreement be written out again clearly, and added to the Toban Mannual or sticked on the whiteboad. 7 HIKITSUGI 7.1 Tohbans for W19 (May 9-May 16): SSOC: Kano,R., Sawa,M. KSC: Irie,M., Koshiishi,H. 7.2 It may be better to execute STT Timer Set on May 9, because on May 10, we have only 4 KSC passes and spetial operation for the eclipse. 7.3 The RASM password was changed to ......... 7.4 QT RATE ME/HI should kept being inserted in SAA.(see 2.3) 7.5 You have to consult with Nagase san(schedule manager of ASCA team) when you decide the next week schedule. He is at room 1611, ext.2611. 7.6 Remember to delete and condense old files on the Mainframe once each week. END OF REPORT
