 1. Solar and Human Activity------------------------------------------------

      Solar activity was very low throuoghout the week 39.

      The NAOJ solar eclipse party departed for Chile on 2-Oct. 

 2. Standard Operation ------------------------------------------------------

  2.1 SXT Table Uploads

  2.2 STT Timer Set

      STT Timer was set on Tuesday (Pass 2 on 27-Sep-94).
      STT Timer was stopped on Wednesday (Pass 2 on 28-Sep-94).

 3. Special Operation -------------------------------------------------------

  3.1 Coordinated campaigns
    
     There were two coordinated campains.  The SXT tables for these were uploaded.

     a. 'Chromospheric Ejections and Coronal Loops' with B.Schmieder, PP.Mein,
        and L.V.Driel-Gesztelyi (The target region was AR7789.)

     b. 'Bright Point study' with K.Harvey (The target was the coronal hole
        in the NE.)

   3.2 SXT HALT OPERATION
  
     A test of 'SXT HALT OPERATIN' was done at the third KSC contact on 30th.
     Expected SXT response was obtained.

 4. Errors & Ploblem --------------------------------------------------------

  4.1 Disk trouble of flare1

     Flare1 could not mount home directory because of disk trouble on 27th.
     This was fixed by running fsck-command for the disk.
     Some files were lost by this trouble.
     We thank to Syuto-san for reconstruction of the lost files.

  4.2 Wrong PFI address in SXT table

     Wrong PFI addresses in the SXT tables were found at pass 2 and 4 on 28th
     when the tables were uploaded.  Hara-san revised the table during the pass 
     and uploaded the table again.
     It may attribute to a human error.


  4.3 Typhoon

     No YOHKOH pass was lost fortunately.  However, there were small effect.
     SXT tables for campains were not uploaded.
     A test of 'SXT HALT OPERATTION' was postponed until the following day.

  4.4 Negotiation date for KSC/ASCA conflicts
     
     ASCA tohban receive their next week KSC-schedule on Thursday.
     'Negotiate KSC/ASCA conflicts with Nagase san (x2611)' in YOHKOH CHECK LIST
     should be moved from Wednesday to Thursday.

 5. DSN Communications ------------------------------------------------------
 
  5.1 DSN Strawman Schedule for week 42

      There is no DSN conflict with ASCA in the Strawman schedlue for week 42.

 6. YOHKOH/ASCA Pass Conflict ----------------------------------------------

      Three KSC passes (Pass 5 of 26-Sep-94, 30-Sep-94, and 01-Oct-94) were lost
      in week 39 because of conflict with ASCA.  Two passes (Pass 5 of 03-Oct-94
      and 04-Oct-94) will be lost in week 40.

 7. Holiday Schedule ------------------------------------------------------- 

      The next holiday is on 09-Oct-94 (JST).
      (KSC tohban has to work 7 days a week.)

  8.2 STT Timer Set

      The next STT timer set should be done on Tuesday (04-Oct-94).

  8.3 Passwords of three Mainframes

      All three Mainframe Passwords have to be changed on Monday.            
   
  8.3 E-mails

      E-mails to and from yohkoh@flare1 shoule be stored in weekly mail files.
   Please store E-mails of week 40 in "mail/mail_94_w40".
