Solar Activity ----------------------------------------------------- The solar activity is very low. No remarkable flare occurs during this week. 2. Standard Operations ------------------------------------------------ 2.1 SXT Table Uploads : 4 times --------------------------------------------------------------------- KSC Time (start:JST) Pass# Table ID --------------------------------------------------------------------- 22-MAY-95 16:42 4 950522 P4 ARS1 DKCAL 23-MAY-95 13:36 2 950523 P2 ARS1 STD+LONG 26-MAY-95 09:25 1 950526 P1 ARS0 QT CORONA 26-MAY-95 16:17 5 950526 P5 ARS1 STD+LONG ------------------------------------------------------------------- Every time a block command "BC 8C 05" was also upload. This is for dumping SXT patrol images. 2.2 STT Timer Setting The STT timer set was made at the 4th contact on May 23. The signal of Canopus has appeared in the so called Yohkoh plot. The next timer set should be done on Tuesday, May 30. 3. Errors & Problems ------------------------------------------------- 3.1 SXT error WARM RST ERR occurred between the first and 3rd pass. This is an SEU related error. The SXT recovered at the 5th pass using the full recovery plan. 3.2 BCS errors. MEM CHKSUM ERR occurred on May 25, and it was recovered at the first contact on May 26. The same error detected at the third contact on May 27, and it was also recovered at the next contact. 3.3 Hard disk problem at KSC A hard disk at KSC which is connected to the flare5 workstation was out of order at the beginning of week 21. The quick look function to see SXT images is recovered by Kato san. 3.4 AOSLOS & AOSLOSGD at KSC Information on the Santiago station should be included in the AOSLOS and AOSLOSGD at KSC. 4. DSN Communications ------------------------------------------------------ 4.1 DSN Strawman Schedule for W24 We cancelled 18 DSN contacts from the strawman schedule for W24 on Friday. 4.2 DSN Forecast Schedule for W23 We cancelled 15 DSN contacts from the forecast schedule for W23. 4.3 DSN Final Schedule for W22 We cancelled 4 DSN contacts from the final schedule for W22 on Saturday. 4.4 Pass additions JPL added the two Goldstone passes on May 25 acoording to their own decision without any request from SSOC tobans. These passes were once deleted by themselves. SSOC tobans could not respond to the addition of the passes. 4.5 Santiago station Santiago stations are included in the final schedule for week 22. One pass per day is allocated. We have not yet tested the data transmission from the station. We should discuss how to test it considering the conditions of KSC passes. The SSOC tobans for week 22 might do real-time cancellations for some of Santiago passes according to the decision at the MWM. We need a rule which determines the usage of the Santiago station. It depends on (1) the location of the night in the visible orbit, and (2) a condition of the available KSC passes. 5. YOHKOH/ASCA/SFU Pass Conflicts at KSC ---------------------------------- In week 22, 8 passes will be lost due to conflicts; seven to ASCA, one to SFU. 6. Special operation NONE 7. Holiday Schedule The next holiday will be Sunday, June 4. ************************************************************************** 9. Ohkubo 9.2 ASCA/SFU pass conflicts (KSC) Please contact Nagase-san (ex.2611) on Thursday(13:30) to decide when and how to negotiate week 23 pass conflicts with ASCA. 9.3 DSS-74(Santiago) passes Santiago station has appeared between the first and second KSC passes on May 29 for the first time. During the week 22, there are six Santiago stations in the final scedule. SSOC tobans for week 22 may have to delete some of them by the real-time cancellations. 9.4 Strawman cancel for week 25 The meeting for week 25 strawman cancellations will be held on this Friday (June 2) as usual. 9.5 STT timer setting Please determine when STT re-start. 9.6 About the way of sending new orbital elements to JPL JPL no longer wishes to receive the YOHKOH orbital elements by FAX. They would like to get them by e-mail.About this issue we got some e-mail. We filed them in English Tohban manual temporally. 9.7 Terminators. The terminator-offpointing program will be continued this week. The SSOC tohbans will be required to manually insert the off-point OGs for the terminators into the OP tables following to suggestion by SXT_CO. After OP_FIRST GUESS, SSOC tohbans should send drafts of OP to SXT_CO at D-tou. SXT_CO will send a request about terminators and associated offpoints if necessary. We are using the following offpoint OG's and are going through them in sequence cyclically. That is, change each time to the next number please: OG 33 S/C W19 S01 (all OG numbers are decimal) OG 34 S/C W17 N00 OG 35 S/C W10 S01 OG 36 S/C W04 N00 OG 85 S/C W03 N02 OG 86 S/C E04 N00 OG 87 S/C E18 N00
