1. Solar Activity  --------------------------------------------------------

The solar activity was not high but a little bit enhanced than the week_44
owing to a newly appeared active region from the east limb (NOAA7921).
A C-class flare was reported on 10-NOV-95 03:40UT.

When SXT Table was uploaded, a patrol image was taken by executing
the command 'DP BC "8C 05"'.

2.2 STT Timer Setting

The STT Timer was set on 7-Nov-95(Tue) pass #5 and 11-Nov-95(Sat) pass #4.
On the latter pass we stopped the STT because of the continuous Canopus
eclipse. The STT should be started again on 18-Nov-95(Sat).

2.3 OP Offpoints

None.


3. Errors & Problems -------------------------------------------------------

3.1 SXT Error

A SXT BIT MAP ERROR was found on 9-Nov-95(Thu) pass #1 and recoverd on that 
pass.

3.2 BCS Error

None.


4. DSN Communications  -----------------------------------------------------

4.1 DSN Final Schedule for W46

We canceled  27 DSN contacts from the Final Schedule for W46.

4.2 DSN Preliminary Schedule for W47

We canceled 19 DSN contacts from the Preliminary Schedule for W47.

4.3 DSN Strawman Schedule for W48

We canceled 55 DSN contacts from the Strawman Schedule for W48.

4.4 Pass additions

None.

4.5 Re-transmission requests

None.

   We received a FAX from JPL telling that a DSN contact on 15-Oct
  (288 1628-1637) was deleted to facilite STS-73 real-time support.

5. Yohkoh/Asuka/SFU Pass Conflicts at KSC  ---------------------------------

In W46, 6 KSC passes were lost because of the conflicts with
ASCA. There are 2 pass conflicts between Yohkoh and SFU; 15th-pass5
and 17th-pass5. The formar pass was assigned to  SFU operation. But
it is not decided now if the later pass is used for SFU or not, because
it depends on the situation of the SFU orbit which is scheduled to
be modified in this week.

The next holiday will  be  on  Sunday, 19-Nov-95.

8.2 STT Timer Setting

The next STT Timer should be done on 18-Nov-95 (Sat).

8.3 Offpoint terminator images

If terminators appear in the OP generated by running `op_first_guess,'
then the OP should be faxed to the SXT_CO (Chief Observer) in D-toh.
The SXT_CO will then inform the SSOC tohbans if offpointing will be
carried out.  If so, the OP will need to be edited appropriately.

8.4 Transmission of OP

You dont't need to confirm the transmisison of OP/OG files to KSC
on the console on 3rd floor. But when you or KSC Toban find a failure
in transmitting them, please note the times when the OP was created and
transmitted to KSC and report them to Shuto_san and Kosugi-san.

8.5 SXT Patrol Image Dumps

The command `DP BC "8C 05(Hex)"' should be executed whenever an SXT
table upload occurs.  This command dumps an SXT patrol image which is
needed to check the ARS parameters since the Sun is very quiet.

8.6 Japanese SSOC Houben manual was updated.
