Hara Meeting Attendance: ---------------- Ogawaga, Kosugi, Watanabe, Hudson, Savy, Khan, Sawa, Dhani, Seko, Akiyama, Tsuneta Note: ---------------- Ms. Seko of NEC was introduced in the meeting. She will support Yohkoh operation at SSOC from now on. Ms. Katano, who worked for Yohkoh for about 4 years, and significantly contributed to the operation of the satellite, was returned to NEC. We all thank Katano san for her excellent work. Ms. Seko will attend the regular WOM meetings on Monday. 0. ACTION ITEMS Week-35-A/I-1 /Prof. Ogawara/ status: OPEN Prof. Ogawara will ask Fujitsu to check the health of S-3500 located at KSC, becuase of the increased number of the problems. See section 3.3. Week-35-A/I-2 /Dr. Hudson/ status: OPEN Dr. Hudson will check the cause of the ``a few to 50 % less than expected'' DSN data receive. It may be due to either an op timing problem, or a problem on DSN side. As a first step, he will check the op timing for those ``a few to 50 % less than expected'' DSN orbits. See section 4.5. Week-35-A/I-3 /Dr. Shimizu, Dr. Hara/ status: OPEN The workstation flare 5 currently located at SSOC should be returned to KSC for operational use. The failed display of the flare 5 currently located at KSC should be sent to SSOC for repair. See section 3.3. 1. Solar Activity ---------------- AR7986 continued to be the focus of our attention. Although this active region is quite large, and was the subjiect of a Bear Alert on Thursday, it produced only one C-class flare (on 28 August), and several B-flares during the week. 2. Sorry... 3. Errors and Problems ---------------- 3.1. SXT Errors ---------------- A Bit map error was detected during the following passes. It was recovered by the Yobi C command during that pass. 31-Aug-96 Pass 1 (960830-1342) 3.2. BCS Error ---------------- An error was detected at 29-Aug-96 pass 5, and BCS was recovered during that pass. 3.3. S3500 troubles at KSC KSC toban reported occasional problems with S-3500-WS GPIB and S-3500 SA-1, SA-3, SA-5 displays. This is becoming more serious operational problem. 3.4 Miss operation See Section 2.3. 4. DSN Communications ---------------- 4.1. DSN Final schedule for W35 ---------------- 2 passes in the weekend OP were cancelled (realtime cancel). 4.2. DSN Final schedule for W36 ---------------- 1 pass on the Monday OP was cancelled, because this particular pass is too close to the first KSC contact. 4.3. DSN Preliminary schedule for W37 ---------------- 12 passes, which should have been given up for ASCA, and were not cancelled last week, were cancelled. 4.4. DSN Strawman schedule for W38 ---------------- 57 passes were cancelled. 4.5.
