Solar Activity: Solar activity was low. There were a B class flare and a couple of A class spikes. 2. Errors and Problems 3.1 SXT Errors and Problems: SXT bit map error at pass 1 on 21-JAN-97 was cleared with Yobi-C. 3.2 BCS Errors and Problems: BCS Error on pass 4 on 970125 was recovered during the pass. 3.3 KSC Network Problem The network configuration trouble for flare4 at KSC was successfully solved on 20-JAN-97. Now, mail to yohkoh@flare4 is active. 4. DSN Communications: 4.1 Cancellations for W04: No real time cancel on the week. 4.2 DSN Final schedule for W05: 1 passes were canceled. 4.4 DSN Preliminary schedule for W06: 38 passes were canceled. 4.5 DSN Strawman schedule for W07: 11 passes are canceld. 4.6 Data Transmission from DSN: 358 74 2210 not received Requested 07 Jan. no response Requested 13 Jan. YOHKOH/ASCA/AKEBONO/MUSES-B Pass Conflicts at KSC: 5.1 Canceled passes for W04-05 Week 04: 10 passes were canceled for MUSES-B Week 05: One pass will be canceled for ASCA and one, for Muses-B The launch of Muses-B is planned on 08-FEB in JST and Yohkoh operation from dawn of 07 to the noon of 09 will be canceled. In preliminary plan, 20 passes will be canceled on Week 06. 5.2 Long term plan negotiation On the Thursday meeting for KSC allocation, a preliminary plan of KSC operation on February for four satellites are determined. All the schedule has determined based on the nominal plan for Muses-B. This preliminary plan should be changed immediately if the launch and initail operation results is different from the nominal case. So, SSOC tohban should pay attention to the change of the KSC contact schedule. Dr.Tetsuya WATANABE is in charge of the negotiation with other satellites, change of KSC Yohkoh schedule and instruction to SSOC Tohban. 6. Special Operations: None. 7. Holiday Schedule: Week 05 KSC holidays are Tue, 29-Jan-97. The holiday schedule might be changed for Muses-B schedule change. On Monday morning, Watanabe-san negotiatef with Muses-B people and decided. 8. Hikitsugi Items: 8.1 Tohbans for W05 SSOC: Shin & Yoshida KSC: Yokoyama & Saita 8.2 STT Timer setting The next STT Timer setting is due on 28-JAN(UT). 8.3 Sirius Data Nothing to report. 8.4 Yohkoh and Muses-B KSC conflict Due to preparations for the launch of Muses-B, 29-JAN (JST) is a holiday for Yohkoh. On week 06, 20 passes will be canceled and no KSC operation for 3 days as described in Section 5. 8.5 Holiday Schedele Holiday on W05 is 29-Jan. The next holiday is 2-Feb. 9. Action Items 9.1 Week-42-A/I-1 /Hudson, Lemen, Yoshida/ status: DEFERRED UNTIL JIM'S VISIT T. Yoshida has produced preliminary software to aid in optimizing the Yohkoh DP rate in OPs. The final implementation of Yoshida san's software will probably have to await the next visit to ISAS by Jim Lemen.
