The Wallops passes use a new antenna DSS-80. The program dsn_check.pro was modified to include this new antenna as well as the new Goldstone DSS-27 antenna. Watanabe-san will arrange for the modification of the Gateway software to accommodate this new antenna. 5. YOHKOH/ASCA/AKEBONO/HALCA Pass Conflicts at KSC: 5.1 Canceled passes for W16, 17 Week 16: 8 passes were canceled for HALCA. 1 pass was canceled for ASCA. Week 17: 2 passes will be canceled for HALCA. 1 pass will be canceled for ASCA. 6. Special Operations: 6.1 HXT Calibrations HXT calibrations were carried out successfully during passes 3 (ID: 970414-0825) and 4 (ID: 970414-0929). An HXT Fine Gain command was inadvertently requested by the SSOC tohbans on pass 1 (ID: 970416-0516). This was due to a mix up with the ROG numbers for the Normal Point Command related to 2.4 above. 7. Holiday Schedule: The next holiday will be 27-April-1997. 8. Tanuma & K. Nakakubo 8.2 STT Timer setting The STT timer set is due on Tuesday (22-Apr-97). 8.3 Sirius Data Nothing to report. 8.4 Suggestion to DSN selection rule: mail from JPL I understand that you access RASM and choose the passes that are made available to you. We would like you to use the Wallops (WFF) passes as much as possible. In other words, if a pass from one of the DSN sites (Goldstone, Madrid or Canberra) can be substituted by a WFF pass, please use the WFF pass and delete the DSN pass, instead of vise versa. Please understand we are not asking you to give up any coverage but if the same coverage can be accomplished by using WFF instead of the DSN, we would like you to do so. (Albert Chang) 8.5 Changes in OP_FIRST_GUESS Lemen-san has made a modification of the op_first_guess to surpress Campaign obs. between the first and second passes of KSC on the next day. Now the version is 4.3 and it seems to be working well. Regarding other more important changes, please see the reports from week 10. 9. Action Item Week-16-A/I-1 /Watanabe/ status: OPEN Arrange for the modification of the Gateway software to accept the data from the new Wallops DSS-80 antenna.
