Special Operations 3.1 Spacecraft pointing OG 85(dec) (S/C E9.89 S2.77) was included an OP which was uploaded on Monday (17-May). This off point OG was used at terminator opportunities the whole week. 3.2 HXT HXT was returned to the normal mode from the calibration mode by the OG which was included an OP which was uploaded on Monday (17-May). -------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Errors and Problems 4.1 BCS Errors A BCS error was found at 1st pass on 19-May (990519-0309), but was recovered at the same pass. 4.2 SXT Errors A Filter hard error was found at pass 5 on 17-May (990517-0825). Yobi-A and B were executed. The recovery was performed at pass 1 next day (990518-0411). 4.3 isass5 trouble The write permission of yohkoh to the directory /db_isass5/ydb/orbit disappeared on Saturday. HSH recovered it with help of JRL and SLF. -------------------------------------------------------------- 5. NASA Station Scheduling 5.1 Contact pass cancels/adds The following DSN/NASA passes were added/deleted: =================================================================== DSN/NASA Schedule Week Schedule Changes =================================================================== Realtime 21 0 pass deleted by SSOC Final 22 0 pass deleted by SSOC Preliminary 23 23 passes requested to be added Strawman 24 78 passes deleted by SSOC =================================================================== 5.2 Data Transmission from NASA Ground Stations -(From /home/flare1/yohkoh/dsn_corrupt/99_21)------------ 111 80 1115 corrupted tape requested 27 Apr no response tape requested 07 May no response tape requested 11 May no response tape requested 14 May Closed/ correct data 113 80 0821 corrupted tape requested 27 Apr no response tape requested 07 May no response tape requested 11 May no response tape requested 14 May Closed/ correct data 123 74 1610 not received requested 13 May Closed/ correct data 123 74 2120 not received requested 13 May Closed/ correct data 124 74 1625 not received requested 13 May Closed/ correct data 124 74 1951 not received requested 13 May Closed/ correct data 130 74 1757 not received requested 13 May Closed/ correct data 131 80 2148 corrupted tape requested 19 May 131 80 2329 corrupted tape requested 19 May 132 80 0111 corrupted tape requested 19 May 133 80 2035 corrupted tape requested 19 May 133 80 2216 corrupted tape requested 19 May 133 80 2358 corrupted tape requested 19 May 134 80 0141 corrupted tape requested 19 May 134 80 0324 corrupted tape requested 19 May -------------------------------------------------------------- 6. KSC Pass Conflicts and Schedule In week 22, 10 KSC contacts will be lost due to conflict with ASCA and HALCA. ASCA - 6 contacts , HALCA - 4 contacts -------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Hikitsugi Items 7.1 Tohbans for week 21 SSOC: S.Watari(-29), K.Yaji KSC: R. Haga, R.Kano(-28) 7.2 STT timer setting Canopus eclipse period finishes on Wednesday, and the next STT TIMER SET is expected at pass 1 on Wednesday (990526-0102). 7.3 Holiday Schedule The next holiday will be Sunday, 23-May-99 (JST). 7.4 DSN Contacts in W23 According to the last meeting and item 7.7 below, we requested to be added 19 Wallops and 4 Santiago contacts in week W23, which had been once requested to be deleted in the Strawman Forecast. 7.5 Terminator Images for weekend OP If there is empty slot in the weekend OP, please add OG for terminator image to the weekend OP. Normally we can not do this, because there is no empty slot in the weekend OP. 7.6 Elevation (from previous week) SSOC Tohbans need to examine the maximum elevation when checking the DSN final schedule, because the maximum elevation may change from the strawman to final schedule due to changing orbital elements. DSN requires a maximum elevation more than 7 degrees. This is listed in the English language manual, but not the Japanese language manual. If this information is put in the manual we can delete this item from hikitsugi. 7.7 KSC pass conflicts (from previous week) ASCA conflicts cause the loss of about 10 KSC contacts per week at this time. We do not know which contacts Yohkoh will lose until the weekly meeting. Santiago contacts occur on the same orbits as KSC contacts. Therefore, keep as many Santiago contacts as possible in the DSN Strawman and Preliminary Forecasts. === END ===
