Meeting Attendance Liu, Khan, Nagata, Watanabe, Hara, Sawa, Hudson, Kosugi, Martens -------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Solar Activity Solar activity is moderate in this week and two M-class flares occured during the yohkoh night. -------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Standard Operations 2.1 SXT Table Uploads The following SXT tables were uploaded during week 22: ===================================================== JST Date Pass Table ID ===================================================== Mon 31-MAY-99 2 990530 P2 ARS2 STJ103* Mon 31-MAY-99 5 990530 P5 ARS2 STJ103* Tue 1-JUN-99 3 990531 P3 ARS2 DIJ103* Wed 2-JUN-99 3 990601 P3 ARS2 DAJ103* Thu 3-JUN-99 4 990602 P4 ARS2 STJ103* Dri 4-JUN-99 4 990604 P4 ARS2 STJ103* Sat 5-JUN-99 3 990604 P3 ARS1 STD* ===================================================== The "J103" in the name refers to JOP 103. The "*" indicates that the UT date of the first pass of the day (which determines the Table ID) does not match the UT date of the actual upload. 2.2 STT Timer setting STT timer was set during pass 4 on 1-JUN-99. -------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Special Operations 3.1 Spacecraft pointing OG 85(dec) (S/C E9.89 S2.77) was included in an OP which was uploaded on 17-May. This off point OG was used at terminator opportunities in Friday OP. This OG was also used for UVCS in Monday OP (990606-1239 OP REV.2). Repointing and/or new offpointings for this campaign are planned in this week. -------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Errors and Problems 4.1 BCS Errors: A BCS error was found at pass 5 on 31-May (990531-0411). This was recovered at pass 3 on 1-Jun (990601-0205). 4.2 SXT Errors: A filter hard error was found at pass 5 on 31-May (990531-0411). This was almost recovered during this pass though SXT was left 'SXT CTL MAN' at loss of this KSC contat. After that, SXT was set to 'SXT CTL AT' automatically by OP due to terminator oppotunities. KSC tohban therefore found SXT was working right at the pass 1 on 1-Jun (990531-1546). -------------------------------------------------------------- 5. NASA Station Scheduling 5.1 Contact pass cancels/adds The following DSN/NASA passes were added/deleted: =================================================================== DSN/NASA Schedule Week Schedule Changes =================================================================== Realtime 23 2 passes deleted by SSOC Final 24 4 passes deleted by SSOC Preliminary 25 8 passes deleted by SSOC Strawman 26 63 passes deleted by SSOC =================================================================== 5.2 Data Transmission from NASA Ground Stations -(From /home/flare1/yohkoh/dsn_corrupt/99_23)--------------- 137 80 0226 corrupted tape requested 25 May no response tape requested 28 May no response tape requested 01 Jun Closed/ Same data 143 80 1754 corrupted tape requested 28 May no response tape requested 01 Jun Closed/ Same data 147 80 1528 corrupted tape requested 01 Jun Closed/ Correct data 149 80 1557 corrupted tape requested 01 Jun Closed/ Correct data 154 80 1347-1400: 11513 blocks Early los dur to antenna failure. -------------------------------------------------------------- 6. KSC Pass Conflicts and Schedule In week 24, 9 KSC contacts will be lost due to conflict with ASCA and AKEBONO. ASCA - 9 contacts , AKEBONO - 0 contacts -------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Hikitsugi Items 7.1 Tohbans for week 24 SSOC: Y.Liu, J.Khan KSC: Y.Nakagawa, D.Sasaki 7.2 STT timer setting The next STT TIMER SET is expected at pass 1 on 8-Jun-99 (990607-1239) 7.4 Holiday Schedule The next holiday will be Saturday, 12-Jun-99 (JST). 7.5 Terminator Images for weekend OP If there is empty slot in the weekend OP, please add OG for terminator image to the weekend OP. Normally we can not do this, because there is no empty slot in the weekend OP. 7.6 KSC pass conflicts (from previous week) ASCA conflicts cause the loss of about 10 KSC contacts per week at this time. We do not know which contacts Yohkoh will lose until the weekly meeting. Santiago contacts occur on the same orbits as KSC contacts. Therefore, keep as many Santiago contacts as possible in the DSN Strawman and Preliminary Forecasts. 7.7 Mainframe Replace Mainframes will be replaced from 11-Jul(Sun) to 15-Jul(Thu). Caution when SSOC Tohbans make OPs. === END ===
