26 February 1996 Serge Savy SXT CHIEF OBSERVER REPORT AND TABLE PLAN SXT CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT for Week 08: 19-FEB-96 to 26-FEB-96 SOLAR ACTIVITY The Sun was quiet all last week with no major flares. For most of the week we tracked AR7946. The leading edge of this region was associated with a large filament. SXT INSTRUMENT STATUS No significant SXT errors occurred. SXT continues to function normally. CAMPAIGNS Filament campaign during part of the most of the week. Correspondents: R. Canfield, K. Reardon, A. Kiplinger, L. Jiao, H. Zirin Purpose: to observe filament channels and possibly catch eruptions with SXT in a configuration for good time resolution. SEMINARS There was no seminar in week 08. SXT TABLE PLAN FOR WEEK 09 (26-Feb-96 to 03-Mar-96) There is no official campaign this week, and we will operate conservatively with only a few table uploads. However, if activity continues to increase (as we see a couple of B-class flares!!), we may track the flaring region with ARS2. On Thursday we plan to change to the weekly dark calibration table for one day. The weekly diffuser images will be taken as part of a standard table on Saturday.
