6 May 1996 Serge Savy SXT CHIEF OBSERVER REPORT AND TABLE PLAN SXT CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT for Week 18: 29-APR-96 to 5-MAY-96 SOLAR ACTIVITY Solar activity was low last week, with only one B class flare on 5 May. SXT INSTRUMENT STATUS There was one SXT error detected and recovered during pass 3 on 29-Apr. Otherwise SXT has been operational with no problems. CAMPAIGNS We briefly returned to the filament hunt campaign last week. SEMINARS The seminars in week 18 were by G.Slater (Lockheed) on Review of "The magnetic nature of coronal holes'', Wang et al. (Science 271, 464, 1996); and M. Woodard (U. Delaware) on "Are there downflows beneath sunspots?". SXT TABLE PLAN FOR WEEK 19 (6-May-96 to 12-May-96) There are no campaigns planned for this week. The dark calibration table will be loaded on Tuesday, and the weekly diffuser images included as part of a standard table on Friday.
