There were no flares. SXT INSTRUMENT STATUS The SXT instrument remains in fine working condition. CAMPAIGNS There were no observing campaigns last week, but a long CCD bakeout was started at 05:50 on 8 January UT. The bakeout will end on 14 January. The purpose of the bakeout is to remove surface contamination from the CCD. This the first time a week long bakeout has been tied. SEMINARS There were no Yohkoh seminars in Week 2. SXT TABLE PLAN FOR WEEK 03 (12-Jan-97 to 19-Jan-97) The one week long CCD bakeout will end on 14 January. A special diffuser table to monitor the status of the CCD will be uploaded that day and run overnight. The weekly dark calibration table will be uploaded on Wednesday, and we will return to the standard table on Friday, as there is only one real-time contact on Thursday (this week 10 passes will be lost to MUSES-B, and 2 to ASCA). 17 - 22 January we plan to observe streamers in coordination with SoHO. Yohkoh may be offpointed E/W for this campaign. The details are still being worked out.
