9 February 1997 Nariaki Nitta SXT CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT AND TABLE PLAN CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT for Week 06 3-Feb-97 to 9-Feb-97 SOLAR ACTIVITY The Sun was quiet during the week. There were many B-class flares, but only one C-class flare. Three active regions were present (AR 8015, 8016 and 8017). None of them produced hard X-ray flares, but all of them were associated with eruptions between 6-FEB-97 22 UT and 7-FEB-97 18 UT. SXT INSTRUMENT STATUS No problems last week except for an SEU at the last pass on 5-FEB-97, which was recovered at the first pass next day. SXT continues to function well. CAMPAIGNS No major campaigns during the week. SEMINARS The Yohkoh seminar resumed on 6-FEB-97. The speaker and title were: N. Gopalswamy (U. Md.) "Coronal and Interplanetary Shocks" SXT TABLE PLAN FOR WEEK 07 (10-Feb-97 to 16-Feb-97) Because of MUSES-B launch (planned on 11-FEB-97) and its schedule uncertainty, no detailed plan can be made at this time. The dark calibration table is on Monday. After Tuesday, we will decide what to do on a daily basis.
