20 June 1998 David McKenzie SXT CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT AND TABLE PLAN CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT for Week 25 15-June-98 to 20-June-98 SOLAR ACTIVITY Solar activity this week was moderately low, with a background near the GOES B2 level and only a few events reaching the C level. SXT INSTRUMENT STATUS SXT has been working fine, although it has been found that the full-frame diffuser images have been saturated since the last entrance filter failure. We are currently examining possible ways to continue the use of this filter. SXT SCIENCE This week's Science Nugget follows up on last week's -- the sigmoid region which was discussed last week continued to produce CMEs.
