CHIEF OBSERVER'S REPORT for Week 44 29-Oct-01 through 4-Nov-01 A. TAKEDA GENERAL Flare activity remained high, with more than 10 flares above M-class. On 4-Nov., an X-class flare accompanied by a proton flux was reported in the target of our sigmoid compaign. SXT TECHNICAL No new problems to report. This is sequel to the previous nugget (12-Oct-2001 edition). CAMPAIGNS No official campaigns were planned to support. On Saturday (3-Nov.), we decleared a sigmoid campaign on NOAA 9684 as a TOO (Target Of Opportunity). We will follow this region to the limb.
