Ephemeris calculations for the solar eclipse of May 10, 1994, as seen by Yohkoh. The circles show the positions of the lunar limb every two minutes, with the times of closest approach for each of the five episodes marked on the images. The dotted circles correspond to times to "double eclipses" - both the Moon and Earth lie between Yohkoh and the Sun. The reference image is from about four days before the actual eclipse event.
