Comparison of SFDs Made from 2 and 3 Images

Description:
Sample SFD-type images made from 2 (left) and 3 (right) AlMg images taken
11-FEB-94. The superior statistical quality of the 3 image composite with
the 30 second exposure is evident. The penalty for doing this on a routine
basis is (1) there would be fewer SFD images in the movie (the penalty is
more than 1/3 because of the greater probability of partial images, etc.)
and (2) the need to revise mk_sfd.pro, a large and complex program, to
handle either the 3-image or 2-image cases.

I would appreciate opinions on whether it is paractical and desirable to
make this change.
