Description:
RADIANCE DISTRIBUTION OF ACTIVE AND QUIET SUN

These 2 histograms were prepared from the Al.1 full sun SFD images for the
periods indicated. The quiet sun radiance is essentially a double peaked
disbribution depending upon whether or not there is an active region on the
disk. The radiance is for the 0-300 A band. Units of radiance are erg/sec
at the sun. The errors on any given determination are roughly a factor of
two, depending upon the differential emission measure. Flares are excluded
from these distributions.
