Partial eclipse of the X-ray Sun observed by Yohkoh/SXT on April 17,
1996 (first apparition). AlMg filter, 7.5-sec exposures, 4x4 on-chip
pixel sums, one-minute cadence. The images have the standard corrections
applied, which means that the stray light is incorrectly assessed for
times when there is a substantial shadowing of the disk. This makes
the middle images of the sequence appear darker at the edges, due to
overcorrection.
