For 21 Al.1 images on July 4, 1997 (01:41:34 to 10:39:22) the left panel shows the pattern of the leak correction SFC images found by LEAK_SUB. One end of each pair is the sun-center coordinates for the data image; the other is the SFC chosen. Sometimes multiple hits on a given SFC occur. The right panel shows the pinhole brightness (mean of 49 pixels centered on (170,108). There is a rather large variation of pinhole brightness. Is this due to different illumination at different pointing positions, or is it due to measurement errors (high clouds, missed timing, volcanic dust, high-flying birds) in the SFCs? HSH 22-Nov-97 p.d. the pinhole brightnesses are plotted at the locations of the data images.
